This is the first published bibliography of the works of poet and writer Ruthven Todd (1914-1978). It is based on a finding-list compiled soon after Todd’s death by his son Christopher in 1980, extensively revised and expanded by Peter Main (author of A Fervent Mind – a biography of Todd published by Lomax Press in 2018) and Forbes Gibb. Todd was a polymath who wrote and edited some 60 books over his lifetime, on a wide range of topics including poetry, art history (William Blake in particular), fantasy, detective fiction and books for children. A descriptive bibliography of these works is included in this volume, as well as details of the location of many unpublished drafts of prose works and poems. Publication details of all known poems, articles and book reviews are included, and his oeuvre of nearly 500 published and unpublished poems is indexed both by title and first line.
